Nouveau boîtier US en carbone moulé
Les Glide V3 sont équipées de notre nouveau boîtier US en carbone moulé, développé en interne par Takoon. Grâce à leur rigidité incomparable, ces nouveaux boitiers apportent une connexion au foil inégalée, une parfaite transmission des efforts et un feeling sans pareil.
Nos nouveaux box de foil sont fabriquées en carbone préimprégné, polymérisé à haute pression et haute température dans un moule en acier. Ce processus permet d’obtenir un boîtier avec des fibres longues de carbone bien compactés, ce qui le rend tout simplement indestructible et ultra rigide.
Grâce à cette construction, si l’on compare nos boitiers carbone aux boitiers classiques comme les Futures, le gain de rigidité et de robustesse est considérable. En effet, généralement fabriqués en plastique injecté chargé avec de la fibre de verre en fibres courtes, les boitiers classiques peuvent présenter de la déformation à l’effort. Sur l’eau, cela se ressent sous forme d’un temps de latence dans la réactivité du foil, que ce soit pour le pumping, pour carver, ou pour les manœuvres. Avec nos nouveaux boîtiers carbone, la transmission des efforts est instantanée et la connexion est ultra rigide.
Plus longs, ces nouveaux boitiers donnent beaucoup plus de liberté de placement de votre foil. Ils viennent en 2 tailles: 33 cm et 38 cm en fonction de la taille de la planche. Ils sont ainsi plus longs de 6 cm et 11 cm que les boîtiers futurs. Ainsi, vous pourrez affiner vos réglages, afin de trouver la position personnelle qui vous convient le plus.
Ils bénéficient aussi d’une double ouverture par rails pour un montage plus rapide : plus besoin de démonter entièrement vos boulons de la platine, il suffit simplement de desserrer les vis, de faire glisser le foil dans les ouvertures et de resserrer les vis et hop, le tour est joué.
Presentation
The Slate Midlength is an extended version of our Slate board, designed to push the boundaries of paddle-in surf foiling. Similar to a longboard, it enables you to glide and take off on even the smallest, softest waves—well below what you're accustomed to surfing. Its long, slender outline offers excellent paddling comfort and remarkably easy takeoff.
In wingfoiling, for riders proficient in waterstarts, the Slate Midlength is an ideal board for wave riding. Playful, fast, and featuring smooth glide, it allows you to surf all types of waves, with the ability to execute powerful carves thanks to its refined shape.
Available in three sizes, ranging from 40L to 50L, the Slate Midlength is aimed at intermediate to expert riders seeking an easy-to-paddle surf foil and a high-performance crossover board for wingfoil wave riding.

Molded carbon US boxes
Made from pre-preg carbon and molded under high pressure and high temperature, these boxes outperform traditional injected-plastic models.
Result: no deformation, immediate responsiveness, and optimal performance for pumping, carving, and maneuvers.
Carbon boxes with double opening
Thanks to their double rail opening, setup is fast: simply loosen the screws, slide the foil, and tighten. Less time mounting, more time on the water!
These rigid boxes maximize your feel and control. They make the whole setup more reactive, giving the sensation of using a smaller front wing. Become one with your foil and experience boosted performance!
Shape
For the Slate Midlength, the focus was placed on optimizing volume inside a minimalist, thin, and elongated shape, providing exceptional paddling comfort. With its high ratio and midlength longboard-style outline, the Slate Midlength will let you catch every wave when paddling.
It is a board with plenty of volume, ensuring efficient rebounds on the water. With its beveled rails and concave hull, the Slate Midlength does not stick to the water and remains highly forgiving on touchdowns, even during committed carves.
Construction
Tail
This design reduces the rear width while maintaining excellent stability and promotes maximum paddling speed.
The rounded tail also helps maintain inertia and glide, ideal for takeoff phases in weaker conditions or when accelerating before lift-off.
Rocker line
A slight kick in the nose has been added to secure takeoff phases, especially in steeper waves or during late drops.
This profile keeps the board fast while reducing the risk of nose-diving when catching a wave.
