Nouveau boîtier US en carbone moulé
Les Glide V3 sont équipées de notre nouveau boîtier US en carbone moulé, développé en interne par Takoon. Grâce à leur rigidité incomparable, ces nouveaux boitiers apportent une connexion au foil inégalée, une parfaite transmission des efforts et un feeling sans pareil.
Nos nouveaux box de foil sont fabriquées en carbone préimprégné, polymérisé à haute pression et haute température dans un moule en acier. Ce processus permet d’obtenir un boîtier avec des fibres longues de carbone bien compactés, ce qui le rend tout simplement indestructible et ultra rigide.
Grâce à cette construction, si l’on compare nos boitiers carbone aux boitiers classiques comme les Futures, le gain de rigidité et de robustesse est considérable. En effet, généralement fabriqués en plastique injecté chargé avec de la fibre de verre en fibres courtes, les boitiers classiques peuvent présenter de la déformation à l’effort. Sur l’eau, cela se ressent sous forme d’un temps de latence dans la réactivité du foil, que ce soit pour le pumping, pour carver, ou pour les manœuvres. Avec nos nouveaux boîtiers carbone, la transmission des efforts est instantanée et la connexion est ultra rigide.
Plus longs, ces nouveaux boitiers donnent beaucoup plus de liberté de placement de votre foil. Ils viennent en 2 tailles: 33 cm et 38 cm en fonction de la taille de la planche. Ils sont ainsi plus longs de 6 cm et 11 cm que les boîtiers futurs. Ainsi, vous pourrez affiner vos réglages, afin de trouver la position personnelle qui vous convient le plus.
Ils bénéficient aussi d’une double ouverture par rails pour un montage plus rapide : plus besoin de démonter entièrement vos boulons de la platine, il suffit simplement de desserrer les vis, de faire glisser le foil dans les ouvertures et de resserrer les vis et hop, le tour est joué.
Presentation
The Takoon Escape Pro is our most high-performance downwind board. Inspired by SUP racing, it offers maximum glide, low drag, and easy takeoff both paddling and winging. With its elongated, sharp shape, it combines stability, speed, and efficiency. In SUP foil, it takes off quickly and remains stable in flight. In wingfoil, it performs excellently even in light winds.
More technical than the classic Escape, it’s designed for advanced to expert riders seeking a fast, smooth board for long swells. Available in three sizes from 100L to 125L to suit all builds.
Escape vs. Escape Pro
The Escape and Escape Pro share a similar design but are optimized for different conditions.
Escape: Slightly wider and shorter, offering better acceleration and increased stability. This makes it ideal for windswells, short-period waves, or choppy seas where quick acceleration and stability are crucial. However, its top speed is somewhat limited since its shape prioritizes comfort and responsiveness in more chaotic waves.
Escape Pro: Slightly longer and narrower, making it more agile and capable of reaching higher top speeds. It’s particularly suited for groundswells and long-period waves, where it can unleash its full speed potential while maintaining stability at high speeds. It offers a bit less stability than the Escape but compensates with its ability to maintain consistent speed in longer, smoother waves.
In summary:
The Escape excels in short, choppy waves where responsiveness and stability matter most, while the Escape Pro shines in longer, smoother waves, delivering optimal high-speed performance.

Molded carbon US boxes
Made from pre-preg carbon and molded under high pressure and high temperature, these boxes outperform traditional injected-plastic models.
Result: no deformation, immediate responsiveness, and optimal performance for pumping, carving, and maneuvers.
Extended carbon boxes with double opening
Thanks to their double rail opening, setup is fast: simply loosen the screws, slide the foil, and tighten. Less time mounting, more time on the water!
These rigid boxes maximize your feel and control. They make the whole setup more reactive, giving the sensation of using a smaller front wing. Become one with your foil and experience boosted performance!
Shape
The volume is evenly distributed around the center of gravity to ensure good stability when stationary. This balanced distribution also allowed us to refine the stance area for better control and increased stability while riding.
The V-shaped hull further enhances the gliding sensation by helping water flow smoothly while providing a soft, progressive lift-off. It also creates a slight natural rebound effect that absorbs impacts—even at high speed—for more comfortable landings.
Thanks to this hull and its elongated shape, the Escape Pro guarantees excellent takeoff in all conditions.
