Nouveau boîtier US en carbone moulé

Les Glide V3 sont équipées de notre nouveau boîtier US en carbone moulé, développé en interne par Takoon. Grâce à leur rigidité incomparable, ces nouveaux boitiers apportent une connexion au foil inégalée, une parfaite transmission des efforts et un feeling sans pareil.

Nos nouveaux box de foil sont fabriquées en carbone préimprégné, polymérisé à haute pression et haute température dans un moule en acier. Ce processus permet d’obtenir un boîtier avec des fibres longues de carbone bien compactés, ce qui le rend tout simplement indestructible et ultra rigide.

Grâce à cette construction, si l’on compare nos boitiers carbone aux boitiers classiques comme les Futures, le gain de rigidité et de robustesse est considérable. En effet, généralement fabriqués en plastique injecté chargé avec de la fibre de verre en fibres courtes, les boitiers classiques peuvent présenter de la déformation à l’effort. Sur l’eau, cela se ressent sous forme d’un temps de latence dans la réactivité du foil, que ce soit pour le pumping, pour carver, ou pour les manœuvres. Avec nos nouveaux boîtiers carbone, la transmission des efforts est instantanée et la connexion est ultra rigide.

Plus longs, ces nouveaux boitiers donnent beaucoup plus de liberté de placement de votre foil. Ils viennent en 2 tailles: 33 cm et 38 cm en fonction de la taille de la planche. Ils sont ainsi plus longs de 6 cm et 11 cm que les boîtiers futurs. Ainsi, vous pourrez affiner vos réglages, afin de trouver la position personnelle qui vous convient le plus.

Ils bénéficient aussi d’une double ouverture par rails pour un montage plus rapide : plus besoin de démonter entièrement vos boulons de la platine, il suffit simplement de desserrer les vis, de faire glisser le foil dans les ouvertures et de resserrer les vis et hop, le tour est joué.

The 2026 Glide Air Midlength is our most versatile inflatable wing foil board. It combines exceptional glide, effortless take-offs, and outstanding portability, allowing you to make the most of every session.

Thanks to its perfectly balanced mid-length shape, it combines the best characteristics of downwind boards with more compact outlines. The result is early take-offs, smooth acceleration, and excellent stability, while maintaining remarkable maneuverability for freeride, surf, freefly, and jumping.

For this new 2026 edition, we have optimized the construction by adding an extra full-length carbon stringer running the entire length of the board. This improvement further increases overall stiffness, reduces flex underfoot, and significantly enhances energy transfer during pumping and acceleration.

The Glide Air Midlength is built using our Woven Dropstitch Reinforced technology, featuring the highest-density, highest-quality woven drop stitch construction available. Combined with carbon stringers on both the deck and bottom, as well as this new structural reinforcement, the construction delivers an even more direct, precise, and responsive riding experience.

The pre-preg carbon foil mounting plate ensures an exceptionally rigid connection between the board and the foil, providing outstanding control and long-lasting durability.

This unique combination of technologies allows the 2026 Glide Air Midlength to deliver performance remarkably close to that of a rigid board, while retaining all the unmatched advantages of an inflatable: lightweight, durable, and incredibly easy to transport.

This year, the range is available in five sizes, from 5'3 to 6'6, allowing every rider to find the ideal volume for their weight, skill level, and riding style.

Carbon Stringer

Construction

The Glide Air Midlength is built using reinforced woven drop stitch construction, delivering outstanding stiffness, excellent shape retention, and exceptional durability.

Carbon stringers on both the deck and bottom further increase rigidity, resulting in more efficient take-offs and better power transfer to the foil.

The rails are reinforced with a double layer of PVC to improve impact resistance and long-term durability.

Dual-Entry Foil Tracks

Our foil tracks feature dual-entry openings, allowing for faster installation.

There is no need to completely remove the plate bolts anymore—simply loosen the screws, slide the foil into the openings, and tighten them again.

Shape

The Glide Air Midlength's shape and outline are inspired by SUP race boards: long, narrow, and high in volume to deliver exceptional glide and fast take-offs. The pointed nose with a subtle rocker provides excellent forgiveness on touchdowns while helping prevent nose dives.

The pin tail reduces drag, increasing both speed and maneuverability so you can get on foil before everyone else.

Stiffness

The Glide Air Midlength may be inflatable, but it remains exceptionally stiff! Thanks to its reinforced woven drop stitch construction and pre-preg carbon plate on the bottom, it delivers outstanding stiffness under the rider's feet for precise and responsive handling.

Carbon Plate

The foil mounts directly onto the Glide Air Midlength's pre-preg carbon plate. It features an extended Dual US Box track system, allowing precise foil positioning to match your size, riding style, and conditions.

The track also incorporates dual-entry openings, making installation faster without having to completely remove the plate bolts.

Finally, the carbon plate includes an integrated carry handle, allowing you to easily carry your board and foil with one hand while keeping the other free for your wing.

The Glide Air Midlength comes with a double-action pump and a backpack for easy transport. Durable and featuring a large storage pocket, it's ready to follow you everywhere, from your local spot to the other side of the world.

Inflation Valve

The Glide Air Midlength is equipped with a SUP-style inflation valve for easy inflation, quick deflation, and accurate pressure readings. Compatible with standard SUP pumps, it can also be inflated using an electric pump.

Footstrap Inserts

For riders who prefer to use footstraps, the Glide Air Midlength features Y-shaped footstrap inserts. Takoon neoprene footstraps are available separately in the Accessories section, offering lightweight comfort and excellent support while riding.

EVA Deck Pad

The Glide Air Midlength features a 3.5 mm multi-piece grooved EVA deck pad, providing outstanding grip, comfort, and efficient water drainage for enhanced performance on the water.
